The Snake Plant is one of my favorite plants. I think it is one of my favorites because it has a very modern, sleek look. In fact, I enjoy them so much that last summer I did a propagation experiment in order to make more. This plant easily propagates by leaf cutting or by separation.
For this experiment, I did a couple of leaves that had fallen from my large plant. I just used leaves and put one in water and soil. Both were successful and now I am inundated with Sansevieria. Now, I want to update you on their progress and consolidate my cuttings into one big pot making a lovely Mother-In-Laws tongue for my porch this summer.
Whether you like to call it Sansevieria or Draceana, this plant is a low-maintenance plant. The Sansevieria propagates with ease and requires little attention. There are about 70 species of Sansevieria. Whether you have room for a monster Snake Plant or need a small tabletop, there is a Sansevieria for everyone.
