Bring butterflies into the yard by sowing some butterfly weed seeds. Butterfly weed requires a cold stratification period so, sow your seeds in late fall. Cover with 1/4 inch of soil.
You can also stratisfy in the refrigerator by storing seeds in moist paper towel or cup of moist perilite inside a plastic bag. Store away from refrigerator light. Plant indoors 8 weeks before last frost on seed mat. Transfer when mature.
