This is the final part of my three part series all about planting outdoor containers. This post focuses on planting and setting up your outdoor containers for success. Planting in the outdoor containers is probably the best part about growing plants outdoor.

We have already covered design and shopping so now all that is left to do is plant. Start with your thriller in the middle of your planter or in the back and simply work outward.

Since I am a girl with a budget, you will notice that I have a bunch of open space left over, but this will fill in very quickly. Also, you will want to leave plenty of space for your plants to spread out and grow. Make sure to honor sun and water requirements and your annuals are sure to bloom and spread all summer long.
